Mercenaries For Hire

I had been intending to write this for some time now; but the so-called healing revival in Lakeland took priority on my blog for the past couple of months. Then I realized how this topic fits the so-called revival succinctly, because it is about people more concerned with making a buck and a name for themselves rather then standing on the Word of God. It also applies to the prosperity gospel types too. I will write more on it in the future, but for now, the analogy is to the Lakeland “revival”.

MICAH 3:11
The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.

II Timothy 3:13
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

These so-called prophets and apostles who sponsored the Lakeland revival, and ministered in it could not be real, because a real prophet would had rejected it, and real apostles should reject it. These are no "Elijahs", but mercenaries for hire. Mercenaries go for rewards as oppose to what is right in God’s eyes. Mercenaries will join whichever force pays the best in their limited sight, no matter what side in the battle. Mercenaries turn their heads aside when they see wrong, and rationalize it, or simply discount it. Mercenaries will go from one side to another depending upon what is convenient at the moment. Mercenaries don’t operate on principles, they operate according to their selfish needs. They esteem the philosophies of men over the Word of God. Such as the case with Todd Bentley and company running the healing revival in Lakeland Florida.

Notice how the super apostles and like fellows came out to do damage control, straddling both sides of the fences because of Bentley’s indiscretions. What would Paul had done in Lakeland Florida during the revival meetings seeing the new age themes and greed going on there? What would Elijah had done? I guarantee you they would not just grin and shake their heads in approval knowing and seeing all the serious error and blatant idolatry and greed there. Would they believe the new age and dominionist nonsense coming from the mouths of Todd Bentley, Patricia King, C. Peter Wagner, Bob Jones and others? Would they had turn their head and exclaim “look at the fruit” when someone attempts to pimp $1000 donations by deceit and manipulation and cast out devils in the name of “BAM”? Would they laugh and yell “fire” or whatever as people gyrate uncontrollably, bark and what not? Would they go along with falsified accounts of resurrections and healings? Would they screen people expressively for the camera? Would they deify angels with anointings and shove the Spirit of the Living God aside? These pastors, prophets, teachers and apostles approving this thing lack discernment and many are utterly false. The real will come out against it.

*I want to add Elijah and Paul would had certainly spoke against the error in those meetings and not partaken in this mess. People can get healed, saved and delivered by the true power of God anywhere, and also, this does not constitute revival. Also these NAR phonies are training young people to embrace new age doctrine, dominion theology, and a shallow irreverence for the Holy things of God. I was recently conversing with someone and I said "a real prophet would see through this and the powers behind it". She replied 'never mind a prophet, any believer with His Spirit should see through it". God is looking for real soldiers, not pretenders and those who embrace His Word at their convenience. We are not to just follow His Spirit, but serve in Truth (John 4:24).

I really cannot say I am disappointed in Joshua Apostolic Prophetic Network, which endorsed the revival “click here’ because I knew it endorsed the likes of King, Bentley, and Wagner. Thankfully the Lord directed me from that ministry, warning me ahead about the apostasy before the “revival” took place, however, at that time I did not understand. And as with so many people, believers standing for the Truth reached out to a lot of these ministers to no avail; as they would rather believe a lie. Again I don’t like naming names, and but I would be remiss to remain silent on these things seeing no signs of repentance. What would God expect of us? *Ok, last edit?... A lot of these NAR constituents see the error, as with Lee Grady, but remain "in the stew". We are not talking about minor error or issues of interpretation, we are talking gross error and ungodliness.

I believe in the gifts of healing, the healing power of God, I speak in tongues, and I believe in casting out devils, because its in the Word of God. I believe in the apostolic and prophetic “giftings”. God may had met a few in faith, most likely before or after they attended, but out of all the thousands of "proclaimed" healings, there are no documented cases. When meetings break out immediately violating and discounting the Word of God from the get go, folks watch out. These people are an idolatrous group, loving the praise of men more so than the praises of God. They are filled with hypocrisy, esteeming their personal revelations over the Word. The NAR and its constituency is the new religious system. Oh the irony of it all.

Ezekiel 33:4-5
4) Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5) He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
